This record is so absolutely stunning. 

Wait.Think.Fast.

 I recently contacted local indie/art band Wait.Think.Fast. to do some new promo images, and I really wanted the images to illustrate their sound. While listening to their amazing "Vuelve Al Mar" I kept visualizing the high desert and very dark wood...

Here is one of the many images we created. We also did some nicely lit individual and group portraits that I will post down the line.

I'm really looking forward to checking out their performance at the most excellent: Bordello on February 5, 2009.

 

Crystal Antlers: Death + Taxes Magazine.

 I had the opportunity to photograph Crystal Antlers for Death + Taxes Magazine last week. Here is a portrait from the shoot of percussionist Damian Edwards. The group and individuals were all photographed in Mt. Washington(my neighborhood)....

Can't wait to see them in print!

The group shots are some of my favorite group portraits ever. I'll post them soon after the issue hits the streets. 

Their debut LP titled "Tentacles" comes out in April on one of the best: Touch and Go Records. Thanks go out to Ray, Isaac, and Miranda.

Daysleeper is a new series that I just started working on. I love shooting abstracts at night, and I really enjoy capturing motion and color that vibrates. This panel image was done on 01/09/09.
